After two adoption tries, Scout is back home. Sometimes dogs that have been abandoned find it difficult to adjust to a normal family life. This has been the case with Scout. Scout and his dog friend, Tanner, we found abandoned at a deserted pot growing farm. When they were unclaimed we brought them to the sanctuary. They did very well here. They loved playing with the other dogs. We always love it when out pets can be adopted and have a real family of their own. We never know what kind of life they have experienced before they were found. Many times it leaves emotional scars that are hare to erase. We took them to one of our rescue partners where they would get more exposure in a larger populated area in hopes of finding homes. Scout was quickly adopted. Sadly, that home didn't fit his needs. He needed a home where his people could be home more often. He was returned to the rescue after having a "melt down" when left alone and not crated. He damaged some furnishings and was returned. His second try seemed to fit really well. He bonded with his adopter quickly. But, he became overly protective of her. Because she had frequent visitors it wasn't a safe situation. So, he was again returned. We always take our pets back if they have problems finding the right home for any reason. Scout is a very nice dog and in the right home would be very happy. Scout is at home here with us and his dog friends and we feel that this is what's best for him in order for him to live his best life. Welcome home, Scout!
